This website is published by Semper Primus. It provides general information about CCTV installation, security camera setup and related consultation services for homes, offices, shops and small businesses in Perth and selected areas of Western Australia.

2. Use of this website

You may use this website to read service information and submit a genuine enquiry. You must not use the website for unlawful activity, spam, automated abuse, attempts to interfere with site operation, or attempts to access systems without authorisation.

Information on this website is general. It is not a security audit, legal advice, insurance advice or a guarantee that any CCTV system will prevent incidents.

3. Service enquiries, quotes and bookings

Submitting a contact request does not create a contract for services. Any work, pricing, timeframes, inclusions and exclusions should be confirmed in writing before installation begins.

A recommendation may depend on site layout, access, lighting, cable routes, network quality, equipment availability and the level of coverage requested.

Due to workload, enquiry responses may take up to 48 hours, although we aim to respond as soon as possible.

4. Equipment supply and customer-supplied equipment

Semper Primus may recommend equipment from recognised CCTV and security camera manufacturers. Proposed cameras, recorders, storage and remote access features can be discussed before installation.

If you have already purchased equipment, we may be able to assist with installation and setup where the equipment is compatible and suitable. We may decline to install equipment that appears unsafe, unsuitable, unsupported, incomplete or not appropriate for the requested use.

Camera resolution, night visibility, recording retention and remote access performance depend on the selected equipment, installation conditions, storage capacity, internet connection and site layout.

5. Customer responsibilities

Before installation, you are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to request work at the property. This may include owner approval, landlord approval, strata or building management approval where required.

You are responsible for using CCTV lawfully and respectfully after installation. Depending on the site, this may include considering privacy, signage, camera direction, workplace requirements, shared areas and recording policies.

You should not use CCTV to monitor areas where people reasonably expect privacy or where monitoring would be unlawful.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where Australian Consumer Law applies, services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose made known, and be supplied within a reasonable time if no timeframe has been agreed.

Any voluntary warranty or written service commitment is in addition to rights and remedies that may be available under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Important limitations

• CCTV can support visibility, review and record keeping, but it cannot guarantee that incidents will not occur.
• Remote viewing depends on compatible equipment, internet access, app availability and device settings.
• Recording retention depends on storage size, recording quality, number of cameras and configuration.
• Images, examples and descriptions on this website are general and may not represent the exact equipment used for every job.
